We’re Nic and Helen, we love to create delicious recipes that are sustainable and provide you with good nutrition. We develop, photograph and food style all the recipes on the site.

Helen studied BSc (Hons) Nutrition and is an Associate Nutritonist (ANutr).
Nic studied BSc (Hons), MIFST, RSci Nutrition and Food Science.
Although we don’t follow any particular diet ourselves, we recognise the importance of promoting a well-balanced diet and yes this can include the use of meat and fish! However, we do concentrate mainly on the use of whole and plant-based foods. Ultimately, we aim to stay clear of the use of processed foods and eat seasonal produce wherever possible. Eating this way provides you with an abundance of nutrients, as well as helping the environment at the same time.
Epidemiological studies have shown that a diet rich in fruit and vegetables has many health benefits and are associated with a reduction in chronic disease. Fruit and vegetables contain an array of phytochemicals that protect our cells from oxidative stress by scavenging free radicals. Or more simply, they keep you healthy and can reduce the chances of disease.
